Ingredients for Beef and Cheese Burritos:

  • 1/2 lb. (250 g) extra-lean ground beef
  • 2 tsp. chili powder
  • 1 can (19 fl oz/540 mL) Black beans free of salt, rinsed
  • 1/2 cup salsa (Click on Sauce: Salsa)
  • 3/4 cup shredded Cracker Barrel Light Cheddar Cheese
  • 4 large whole wheat tortillas (Click on Recipe: Homemade tortillas)
  • 1/4 cup fat-free sour cream
  • 1 tomato, chopped
  • 1 cup shredded romaine lettuce


  1. Brown meat with chili powder in large skillet. Add beans and salsa; cook 5 min. or until heated through, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat. Stir in cheese.
  2. Spoon meat mixture down centers of tortillas; top with sour cream, tomatoes and lettuce.
  3. Fold in opposite sides of every tortilla, then roll up burrito-style.
